Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence
The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, Inc. is a coalition of individuals and organizations which aims to eliminate family violence and to strengthen Asian families and communities. The Task Force accomplishes its mission through: Creating an environment of intolerance to domestic violence through community organizing and education and outreach efforts in the diverse Asian and mainstream communities. In addition, ASAP believes that all individuals have the right to live independent, violence-free lives. The purpose of the shelter is to provide Asian women and their children with the safety space and opportunity to lead such lives. ASCAP's service model is based on a philosophy of empowerment for Asian women and their children. Thus, all shelter services will be guided by the principle of respect for Asian women.
