Dec 16, 2007 2:58 pm US/Pacific Human Remains Found Near Napa College NAPA (BCN) ― Police are investigating the apparent remains of a human skeleton found Friday afternoon near Napa Valley College, according to the Napa Police Department. A person walking along the eastern edge of the college campus discovered the skeletal remains at about 2:30 p.m., police reported. The remains were found near the college's new entrance from state Highway 221 and Magnolia Drive. The area had recently undergone construction for the new entrance, according to police. Skeletal remains appear to be a man's Monday, December 17, 2007 | 10:55 PM Bay City News NAPA, CA -- The skeletal remains found Friday at the edge of the Napa Valley College appear to be of a male about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 6 inches, the Napa County Sheriff's Department said this afternoon. Capt. Gene Lyerla said investigators are still trying to determine the man's age. The man's dental work is being sent to a forensic odontologist in Fairfield, Lyerla said. Skeletal remains examined by forensics in Chico Thursday, February 07, 2008 | 3:51 PM Bay City News CHICO, CA -- The remains of a human skeleton found near Napa Valley College in December have been transported to Chico State University to be analyzed by a forensic anthropologist, Napa County sheriff's Lt. Thomas Commander said today. The remains were found near Napa Valley College's new entrance from state Highway 221 and Magnolia Drive on Dec. 15, according to police. The forensic anthropologist in Chico should be able to provide a gender, height and other information within two to four weeks, said Commander.
