Suspect In Baby's Death In Police Custody Lorain, Ohio
Lorain, Ohio- A man named by police as a suspect in the death of an 8-month old boy was in custody early Thursday, law enforcement personnel said. Officers arrested Kevin Kimbrough in the Cleveland area on a tip recieved according to Sgt. Mark Carpentiere. Kimbough,24, had not been charged in the death of Jayden Davidson, but was being held on two out standing and unrelated warrants he had from Franklin County. A police report say's the childs mother,Julie St. Claire,20, was leaving the baby and his two year old brother with Kimbrough when she went to work for a bus company. A coroner had ruled the child's Tuesday death a homocide from head and brain injuries and said there was previous evidence of injuries. Kimbrough who called 911 to report that the baby wasn't well, had driven the child from the home of the baby's mother to another address. He was then supposed to follow the ambulance to the hospital but disappeared. And had given a false name according to the 911 recording from the call he made. His warrants were for violating parole in Franklin County and not appearing in Lorain Court theft charges. Lorain is 25 miles west from Cleveland, Ohio.
