Suspect In Baby's Death In Police Custody Lorain, Ohio
Lorain, Ohio- A man named by police
as a suspect in the death of an 8-month
old boy was in custody early Thursday,
law enforcement personnel said.
Officers arrested Kevin Kimbrough in the
Cleveland area on a tip recieved according
to Sgt. Mark Carpentiere.
Kimbough,24, had not been charged in the
death of Jayden Davidson, but was being held
on two out standing and unrelated warrants he
had from Franklin County.
A police report say's the childs mother,Julie St.
Claire,20, was leaving the baby and his two year
old brother with Kimbrough when she went to work
for a bus company.
A coroner had ruled the child's Tuesday death a
homocide from head and brain injuries and said
there was previous evidence of injuries.
Kimbrough who called 911 to report that the baby
wasn't well, had driven the child from the home of
the baby's mother to another address. He was then
supposed to follow the ambulance to the hospital
but disappeared. And had given a false name according
to the 911 recording from the call he made.
His warrants were for violating parole in Franklin County
and not appearing in Lorain Court theft charges.
Lorain is 25 miles west from Cleveland, Ohio.
