Possible Sighting Amber Alert Subjects In Wichita An Amber Alert has been issued for Tara Renee Simhiser. The 17-year old was last seen in Marion County Tuesday afternoon and is believed to be with 21-year old Rojelio Hernandez. Posted: 6:18 PM Oct 21, 2009 Topeka (WIBW) - Authorities say the man captured on surveillance video wandering around northeast Kansas high schools may have abducted a teenager from Marion County. An Amber Alert was issued just before 6pm Wednesday for for Tara Renee Simhiser. The Marion County Sheriff's Office says Simhiser was last seen around 3pm Tuesday in Marion County. She's believed to be with 21-year old Rojelio Hernandez. The Sheriff's Office says they at first believed Simhiser went willingly, but information in their investigation led them to discover that may not have been the case. They said they learned of some "physical contact" that led them to issue the Amber Alert Wednesday, signaling she may be in danger. They would not elaborate on just what the contact was. The Sheriff's Office says surveillance video from a Topeka business indicates they may have been in the Capital City Tuesday night. Late Wednesday, however, the KBI said new tips led them to believe the pais spotted in the Wichita area Wednesday night. Last seen at her residence in marion county. suspect is Rojelio Hernandez, hisp male, age 21, 5ft 8in, 155lbs, bro hair, bro eyes. He will possibly be driving in a blue late 90 Honda Accord. There is information that they may be in or headed to Topeka. Hotels should be checked." KBI confirms Hernandez is the same person who has been going around several schools in Kansas, including Junction City posing as a student. Missing teen has been found By STAN FINGER The Wichita Eagle Officials say they have found Tara Simhiser, the 17-year-old from Marion County who was believed to have been abducted. More details are expected to be released shortly. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation called off the AMBER Alert for Simhiser at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. She was believed to have been abducted by 21-year-old Rojelio Hernandez, who may have been driving a blue Honda Accord. Simhiser is 5 feet tall and 120 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt. Hernandez is 5-feet-8, 155 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Missing Marion Co. teen found safe in NE Kansas HIAWATHA, Kan. (AP) -- A 17-year-old girl who had been missing since Tuesday has been found safe in northeast Kansas after being dropped off at a bank. A suspect is in custody. Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says a bank employee recognized Tara Rene Simhiser around 11:25 Thursday morning and contacted police, who took the Lehigh girl into protective custody. Hiawatha Police Chief Evans Woehlecke (WOAH-luh-kee) says the girl seemed scared when officers arrived at the bank.
