The secret's being kept in my home town
Well News Media really failed it's very
own community this year where I'm
from. And that is putting thing's very
lightly.
In reporting the news they should have
reported on cases like Mr. Deboard. He
was scheduled for trial this year on alot
of sexual activity with a child or with
another's child. Yet nothing was done
as a follow up story.
As a matter of fact the Common Pleas
Courts in its self has failed us here in
our home town. They only hear a small
fractions of cases in the court room. It
is a fact and complained about by alot of
residents here.
Our Judge Evans would rather plea bargain
a sexual case down to almost as though the
offender did nothing wrong. And well he has
proven he is partial to the sentenceing of a
Rapist, by saying the law is to vague when
the word mandatory is mentioned in court
ruling's. And let's not forget this Judge well
he released the sexual offender who had at
best an original 8 counts of rape against him,
after only sentencing him on four counts of
rape, and the offender only serving nine months
on the mandatory law was released from our
prison system. But hey even the prosecutor
had to agree that choice was wrong and needed
spoken against. Mr. Cunningham is now in our
prison system after almost being free a year.
We protested that Judge, but he's still like Judge
Connors sitting on the bench, still making wrong
choices.
Here's another instance for you about our court.
Robert Wolfe this time last year was while in his
prison cell charged or indicted for rape of the
same child he had been convicted of not once but
twice in one year.
When Mr. Wolfe was scheduled for release this fall,
he was served upon entering Coshocton Justice
Center with that indictment.
One thing I'll say sweeping injustice under the rug is
what is done best around here. And I don't say it none
to lightly.
See I know Robert all to well, and I also know while
pre-sentence investigation was happening; the one's
who claimed to be investigating the case did nothing
while he paraded the victim through public at the fair
grounds his first charge.
Yep you read it right. Mr. Wolfe walked right out in
public with his child victim, and grand-children. And
Officials were present during his parade of look at me
I'm not stopping. And why should he, not one officer
placed him under arrest for his violating the Judge's
order to stay away from the victim. That first case was
brought to light, not because the officials knew, but due
to his ex-wife and myself his cousin, it was reported.
Now he only got jail time the first round, oh and let's not
forget about that pre-sentence investigation, it forgot to
even mention Mr. Wolfe had violated after being released
on bail.
His second offense was because once again Mr. Wolfe and
the victim were caught together. This round he waited for
trial, but while waiting he again violated with yep you
guessed it the same victim. Which got him one year in our
prison system.
And now to that rape charge that got swept under the rug.
Mr. Wolfe was served the day he was supposed to be out
of prison. He appeared in court the following Tuesday only
the charge he was indicted on, well it slipped all the way
down to a charge that was not rape but lesser. Leaving
Mr. Wolfe with only one year in prison. And we already now
know this man learned nothing from serving a one year
sentence prior to this sentence.
How do we know this you are saying. Well we know this
because Mr. Wolfe stated so to the very Judge who had
sentenced him twice already, that he felt deeply for his
child victim and could not stop those feeling's.
I'm wondering if he even realizes it is what he's said to
all his victim's. I love you like I've never loved anyone.
Yes I know Robert Wolfe well and I know this child was
the one who got him caught after year's of violating his
own daughter and step-daughter's, his own cousins and
even friends of those who were family member's.
And this is just a little glimpse of the sweeping under the
rug the real fact's of sexual cases in my town. To say it
lightly our officials don't look at it as such, but the fact
is that is what happens in sexual cases. Plea Bargains
are like Flea Bargains, you get a deal and the victim
get's a life sentence of injustices from our community.
STOP THE INJUSTICE HAPPENING TO THE VICTIM'S OF
SEXUAL CRIME'S. STOP SWEEPING IT UNDER THE RUG
AND START DOING YOUR JOB'S, which is not to only
hear 1/3 of the cases in trial, or to plea bargain 1/4 of
the crime's down to nothing that need stiffer sentencing
handed down. Your job's are to without a shadow of the
doubt get an honest and fair conviction for all involved and
not some lame a-- excuse of why you did not do the job
right to begin with, but how you will do a better job next
round.
And if the Judge is breaking the law like has been proven,
then do something to get it made right, rather than sit on
your bun's and twiddle your finger's wondering what to do.
Get him off the bench, charge him with obstruction of justice,
but for cry'n out loud don't sit there and let it continue to
happen within the very system you took your oath on !!!
