Verdict In On Conely Murder Trial
The verdict is in for Conely. She was accused of killing her step-daughter and then sentenced in 2003. After being in prison Conelys attorneys filed for a new trial for her due to failed process in filing court documents on her case. This was her third trial and it did not take long for the verdict to come in. Conelys attorneys closed at 9:15 this morning. Her verdict was just read around closing of the day. Tonight Michelle Conely is a free woman and her charges of anything now belong to the past. Tomorrow she will start a new life and not answer to any one. While the childs family still grieves over the loss in a tragic ending of what the courts jurors and now the courts deem as an accident. There is more than just the loss of life that was lost to this story of innocence proven beyond a doubt. There was a divide of family structure, loss of some trust, feelings and emotions always kept on the brink of edge. And yet even the childs father held compassion and composure towards Conelys disguilt on that fateful day. He himself testified that his daughter thought the world of her step-mother. Scott Conely said his daughter picked her for her mother figure. And that each day they both enjoyed each other. He said his daughter couldn't waite to share her stories of their adventures of the day when he returned home from work.
