Detectives search for Rocky Point man Najjah Kunta Mack TOPSAIL VOICE By Amanda Hutcheson Published: Wednesday, February 4, 2009 9:31 AM EST BURGAW – Detectives asked for help Tuesday in locating a Rocky Point man wanted for probation violation and failing to register as a sex offender. Najjah Kunta Mack, 32, is wanted by the Pender County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register as a sex offender. After being released in 2007 from a 1999 aggravated sexual battery charge, Mack moved to Pender County and registered as a sex offender. However, officials say Mack has failed to verify his address on a semi-annual basis and the department has an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Mack is also wanted by the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections for violation of probation stemming from an Onslow County conviction for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and simple assault. Mack is approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds and is believed to be in the Rocky Point area.
