Police searching for mentally challenged Pa. woman Associated Press - February 17, 2009 5:35 PM ET PITTSBURGH (AP) - State police are looking for a missing mentally challenged woman from western Pennsylvania who may be with a convicted sex offender. Twenty-year-old Gabriella Trayer and 44-year-old Robert Hebb were last seen Feb. 9 in New Castle. Rita Willis says her daughter has the mental capacity of a 10 year old and her judgment skills are impaired. Trooper Matthew Roth says police think Hebb, of New Castle, may be headed toward Tennessee. Roth says Hebb was convicted in 1998 of attempted aggravated sexual battery in Montgomery County, Tenn. He moved to New Castle in November and registered as a violent sexual predator. Sex offender may be heading to Clarksville By TAVIA D. GREEN • The Leaf-Chronicle • February 17, 2009 Local law enforcement are on the lookout for a sex offender from Pennsylvania who is believed to have a missing 20-year-old mentally retarded woman with him. Robert Bryan Hebb, 44, who is listed on the Pennsylvania Sex Offender registry as a New Castle City resident, is believed to be heading to Tennessee. According to Investigator Jeff Morlock, of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, Hebb told friends he was heading back to Tennessee. The 20-year-old woman who is with him is named Gabriella Trayer and is developmentally delayed. Hebb maybe driving a 1992 Chevy Suburban or Blazer, that is tan on top, maroon on the side and has a black stripe on the bottom. The SUV has a Pennsylvania tag of: GSR1252. He is wanted in Pennsylvania for allegedly violating the sex offender registry. Pennsylvania law enforcement have issued a nationwide alert advising they will pick him up from anywhere in the United States when is found. Hebb is also wanted in Houston County for violating the sex offender registry and Missouri for a traffic violation, Morlock said. Hebb was a registered sex offender in Montgomery County for about six years after being convicted of attempted sexual battery for sexually abusing a 12 year old girl. Hebb was on probation in Montgomery County until 2005, and reported as a sex offender to the Sheriff’s Office for a few years, Morlock said. Law enforcement agencies have been communicating to locate Hebb. If anyone sees Hebb or the car he is they are advised to immediately call 911. Hebb may be violent so Morlock said to not approach him, but call 911 give a description and location and law enforcement will be dispatched. “He is a sex offender who preys on children,” Morlock said. http://theleafchronicle.com/article/20090217/NEWS01/90217021/1002/rss

Gabriella Trayer, 20, and Robert Hebb, 44, were last seen sometime around the morning of Feb. 9 in New Castle, police said. "My concern is, being that she is developmentally delayed, that he has just found a legal minor, and it quite scares me," social worker Charles Hause said. Montgomery County Sheriff's said 44-year-old Robert Bryan Hebb told friends he was heading back to Tennessee from Pennsylvania where he'd been living since November. Hebb was convicted of attempted sexual battery in Montgomery County in 1998 for sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. Police said Hebb may have 20-year-old Gabriella Trayer with him. Trayer's family said she is mentally retarded, and they said they are worried for her safety. Hebb is wanted in Pennsylvania for allegedly violating the sex offender registry.
