HOUSTON - This week's Predator Check is in search of a convicted sex offender who, authorities say, is trying to hide from his responsibilities.
Robert Johnson, 40, was convicted in 1987 of raping a 13-year-old girl in Lufkin. After being sentenced to 20 years in prison, Johnson was paroled and registered as a sex offender in Houston. However, when police tried to verify his residence on the 6000 block of West Belfort, they found an abandoned home.
Officers think Robert Johnson is still in the Houston Area. If you know where to find him, Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to his arrest.
