Fugitive of the Week may be using 5-year-old son's name Updated: 5/5/2009 10:11:06 AM Posted: 5/4/2009 9:51:36 PM A sex offender traveling between Ohio and Pennsylvania is the Fugitive of the Week. William Caldero Jr. is wanted for escape and for failing to register as a sex offender. The U.S. Marshal says he has a long and violent criminal history and may be using the name of his five-year-old. "Our primary concern with this fugitive is that he has a history of violence and he also is a convicted sex offender, and by failing to register, obviously he is a risk to the community," Assistant Chief Deputy Drew Deserto said. Caldero may be in Cleveland Heights. He's also been seen on the west side, near West 77th and Madison. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to his capture. The 24 hour hotline number is 1-866-4-WANTED. Caldero Jr. CLEVELAND — Marshals are looking for 36-year-old sexual offender William Caldero Jr. He is accused of failing to register his address with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office in February. He was convicted in February of 2003 of sexual battery and theft and sentenced to three years in prison and five years of probation. He was required to register every year for 10 years. Investigators said Caldero may be using an alias and traveling between Pennsylvania and Ohio. He has contacts throughout Cleveland, but frequented the West 77th Street/Madison Avenue area. He may also be staying with relatives in Cleveland Heights. He is 6 feet 3 and 215 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call 866-4WANTED.
