State corrections officials are looking for a high-priority sex offender who disappeared from a halfway house after being released from prison on supervised release.
Willie "Andrew" Johnson, 67, was convicted in 1990 for kidnapping and several counts of assault. He is a level three sex offender, meaning he has the highest likelihood to re-offend.
Released from the state prison in Stillwater on April 16, his mandatory release date, Johnson has been missing since June 1.
Johnson is black, 5'8", 170 pounds, with thinning grey hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses, and was last pictured with a grey mustache and beard.
Johnson is on intensive supervised release for 1990 Dakota County convictions of kidnapping and three counts of second-degree assault; as well as a 1994 Washington County conviction of fourth-degree assault.
Anyone with information about Johnson could call the Department of Corrections tip line at 651 603-0026, or 911.
