HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Parole officers Tuesday said they were looking for an escaped sex offender.
Washington County Parole and Probation was seeking help to find Robert Kurt Jones.
Jones was released from prison in August after serving more than 13 years. Police said he left the Washington County Community Corrections Center without authorization on September 5.
Detectives said Jones is an untreated sex offender with an extensive criminal history, including repeated abuse, force and attempted strangulation of a seven year old girl. Jones also has a history of burglary, stealing vehicles, driving while revoked and eluding police.
Police said he’s also known to abuse drugs and alcohol. Jones works in the construction industry and has family in Washington State.
Jones was described as 6 feet tall with blondish brown hair and hazel eyes. He has also been known to use the names Christopher Francis Bradley and Kurt Jones, police said.
Anyone who sees him should call 9-1-1.
