West Virginia Amber Alert System

In response to your e-mail reference the Amber Alert system in West Virginia, the State Police coordinate the system within the State. When a valid request is received the Amber Alert information is disseminated to the following:
* National Weather Service (TV and Radio broadcast) via Emergency Alert System.
* National Amber Alert Center (internet with ticker)
* National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
* America on Line ( internet dissemination)
* Sprint ( wireless dissemination)
* other State and local agencies
Additionally, the State Police website contains a link to "Missing Children" which contains photographs and biographical information of missing and endangered children.
We are continually searching for ways to improve service to the public and appreciate your suggestions.
