LEBANON, Mo. — A Missouri sheriff is asking for the public's help in the bizarre case of a woman's body found encased in concrete and stuffed in a toolbox.
A hunting party on Nov. 15 noticed the smell of decomposition and discovered the container in a patch of timber in LaClede County. An autopsy showed that the woman weighed between 135 to 140 pounds and had light to dark brown hair about 7 to 10 inches in length.
Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell has estimated that the unidentified woman was dead for about 10 days before her body was found.
Sheriff Richard Wrinkle believes the body was driven to the area and pushed down an embankment.
He encourages anyone who knows a woman who hasn't been seen for a while to call law enforcement.
