Woman's Dismembered Body Found In Lancaster,Ca
Oct 7, 2007 1:28 am US/Pacific Woman's Dismembered Body Found In Lancaster (CBS) LANCASTER, Calif. The dismembered body of an unidentified woman was found Saturday outside Lancaster, a sheriff's deputy said. The body parts were found near 20th Street West and Avenue G, northwest of the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, shortly before 11 a.m., said Deputy Luis Castro. The badly decomposed and dismembered body was discovered by a man collecting cans in the area. The body was so badly decomposed that authorities could not determine the age or race of the woman, who had dark hair, according to news reports. The sheriff's department used dogs to search the area and found more human remains, but authorities will not say exactly what was found. Homicide detectives were investigating the death, although it was unclear how the woman died, and wild animals may have been partly responsible for the condition of the body, authorities said. An autopsy will be performed in the next few days. http://cbs2.com/local/local_story_279170424.html
