Teen Accused Of Kidnapping, Sexually Assaulting 10 Year Old Posted: 11:55 AM Jun 20, 2008 Last Updated: 11:55 AM Jun 20, 2008 Reporter: News 10 17 year old Xavier Diante Bryant was arraigned Friday morning, accused of sexually assaulting and kidnapping a 10 year old girl. The two charges are felonies. Additionally, Bryant was charged as a Habitual Offender. Bryant was arrested Wednesday evening, just hours after his alleged victim was found. The young girl had been the subject of a widely publicized Amber Alert that was issued Tuesday evening. The girl's mother made a tearful plea for her return on Wednesday. She was found within the hour. Authorities say Bryant and the young girl were previously acquainted. Because of the Amber Alert, the alleged victim's name and picture were frequently used during reports at the request of authorities.
